LARRY ELMORE'S PAINTING CLASS
As many of you know, I went to Larry Elmore's painting class a couple of weeks ago. I had one of the best times of my life at his class! Larry is not only a great teacher, but he is funny, optimistic, encouraging & all around just an awesome guy! I learned a lot of new painting techniques & he showed me how to refine my painting skills, so I plan on applying them to my paintings. I hope to take another one of Larry's classes in the future because I did my 2 favorite things for the week.....paint & laugh!

RENAMED ONE OF MY PAINTINGS
I had to rename my painting that was titled "Moulin Rouge" because I was notified that that name is trademarked. eek!!! I would never want to infringe on a copyright & it was totally an oversight on my part. So I have renamed this piece to "Victorian Cabaret".

NEW PRODUCT PAGE ON MY WEBSITE
I have added my mini collectible buttons/pins to my website. I had them on my former website, but I did not get a chance to add them to my new website until yesterday. These adorable buttons measure 1"x1" inches. The can attach to any type of fabric like tote bags, shirts, jackets, hats, cloaks, etc. It is a great way to wear unique art. Hey Everyone

I arrived back from Larry Elmore's painting class on Sunday, but I have been catching up on so many things since I have returned I just did not get to post anything about it yet.

I had an AWESOME time at his class. It was a nice small class of 7 people, so I lucked out in getting a lot of one-on-one teaching time with Larry. He gave me so many pointers & tips on painting with oils & I am so lucky to have learned from such a talented artist. I cannot wait to apply them to my artwork now....which I am starting my next painting today! whoo hoo!!!

All of the other people in the class were awesome too. I basically laughed & painted all week, what more could I ask for?!! I have made some great new friends from the class too, which is always nice. I did not have access to the internet all week since we stayed at a Bed & Breakfast in the sticks of Kentucky. I have to say it was sooo nice to have a break from the internet...I am seriously addicted to it so I am proud of myself for not using for such a long stretch of time. hehe

I hope you are all enjoying your Sunday afternoon!. It has been pouring rain & thundering all afternoon here in FL, but I love it!! The rain makes me happy~! hehe Today is Jeff's Birthday too! yeah!!! We are just taking it easy which is all he wanted to do...(I can't blame the guy he has been working & helping me get ready for Dragon Con!)

Anyway, I also just wanted to let everyone know that a bunch of my ACEOs for auction on Ebay are ending in 10 hours!

"Kato Steampunk" is a new sketch that I finished just the other day. It is a gothic inspired Steampunk portrait. It is lovely profile portrait, but is still quite dramatic. I am really happy with the with contrast of her soft, feminine face, to the angular gears & spikey hair. Her hair is actually my favorite part....it is so punky, hehe.

APPEARANCES
The Bay Area Renaissance Festival is starting February 21st - April 5th *weekends only*. I will be there all weekends except one; Feb. 27th - March 1st. I will be at Mega Con then. However, my booth will still be open at the Renaissance Fair & run by a great fan & friend. She knows my work better than anyone! hehe.

I always have sales running & will be drawing in person at Megacon, so stop by and say hi. I am looking forward to both shows.

means that is all that have ever been made.
If you are not sure what an ACEO is here is some information about
them;
ACEO stands for "Art Cards Editions & Originals". They can be any type
of media, but must have one rule - 2.5 x 3.5 inches in size (the size
of trading card). So you can collect little treasures of art now, not
just baseball cards.

Hey Everyone

I just sort of realized that I never shared my new ACEO sketch titled "Priestess" with you. oops!! I guess with the Holidays & being gone for a week I just forgot.

Anyway, this is just pencil on paper of Priestess. I have not drawn anything from a different perspective in a while so it was definitely nice to do something new. I wanted a nice dramatic effect with the lighting so it looks like she is conjuring something up.
