I have new tent cover too...it is a lovely sage green & I have painted some designs & my name right on the front so it will be very easy to find me.

So, Im just browsing the home page of Facebook & I stumble upon a post that my 13 year old nephew did....He actually posted a message about me & told people to join my fan club. LARRY ELMORE'S PAINTING CLASS
As many of you know, I went to Larry Elmore's painting class a couple of weeks ago. I had one of the best times of my life at his class! Larry is not only a great teacher, but he is funny, optimistic, encouraging & all around just an awesome guy! I learned a lot of new painting techniques & he showed me how to refine my painting skills, so I plan on applying them to my paintings. I hope to take another one of Larry's classes in the future because I did my 2 favorite things for the week.....paint & laugh!

RENAMED ONE OF MY PAINTINGS
I had to rename my painting that was titled "Moulin Rouge" because I was notified that that name is trademarked. eek!!! I would never want to infringe on a copyright & it was totally an oversight on my part. So I have renamed this piece to "Victorian Cabaret".

Hey Everyone

I arrived back from Larry Elmore's painting class on Sunday, but I have been catching up on so many things since I have returned I just did not get to post anything about it yet.

I had an AWESOME time at his class. It was a nice small class of 7 people, so I lucked out in getting a lot of one-on-one teaching time with Larry. He gave me so many pointers & tips on painting with oils & I am so lucky to have learned from such a talented artist. I cannot wait to apply them to my artwork now....which I am starting my next painting today! whoo hoo!!!

All of the other people in the class were awesome too. I basically laughed & painted all week, what more could I ask for?!! I have made some great new friends from the class too, which is always nice. I did not have access to the internet all week since we stayed at a Bed & Breakfast in the sticks of Kentucky. I have to say it was sooo nice to have a break from the internet...I am seriously addicted to it so I am proud of myself for not using for such a long stretch of time. hehe

Im heading out to Larry Elmore's week long painting class today! whoo hoo!!! I have heard so many good things about this class, I cannot wait. I have high hopes that Larry will give my painting skills a good swift kick in the ass! hehe.  I have not had a painting class since my junior year of college, so we are talking over 10 years ago. eek! 

I will not be back until October 4th. I will not have internet access while I am away either. Im kind of looking forward to the internet break...Im too addicted. hehe

Well we arrived home from Dragon Con last night & I am beat. It was nice to have today to recover though. I had such a great time at Dragon Con, as I always do. I was able to meet some new fans & artists which is awesome. I had the pleasure to meet Ash Evans & her hubby Johnny. They just so happened to be within waving distance from my booth so any time the crowd thinned a bit we could catch a wave to each other. They are both super sweet & wonderful people. It was so great to meet you Ash!!! I hope we see each other at shows in the future. *hugs*

My direct neighbor, Diana Stein was wonderful too. She was so full of joy & excitement... she definitely kept positive energy flowing.
I was also super happy to see Carrie Hawks. She hung out with me for a bit in my booth & kept me company. I missed her so much from last year. Hopefully we will be neighbors again for Megacon 2010.
I also got to meet Meredith Dillman & Ellen Million. Both very talented artists & super cool.
Some familiar artists/friends I was able to see was Brian Mitchell, Ruth Thompson, LA Williams & Jasmine Becket-Griffith. All wonderful artists & people. I just love Dragon Con for these reasons alone! hehe

Below is the painting that I debuted at Dragon Con. It is titled "Faerie Funk". She is 8x10 inches painted with oils on canvas. The original is available for sale on my website. If you were at Dragon Con you got to see it first. I needed to take a faerie out of the woods for once & give her an urban feel so I came up with "Faerie Funk". She sold very well for me at Dragon Con too. I sold the most prints of her in the Print shop at the Art Show & she was the first canvas print I sold at the show. yeah!!!

I am still printing some prints for Dragon Con...up to the bitter end here, I know! lol I pretty much have everything all set for the show Im just doing some final things. I am so excited for Dragon Con this year. In case you have never heard of Dragon Con, it is one of the largest Sci-Fi/Fantasy shows in the country. It hosts a gigantic array of artists, gaming, books, comics, clothing, costumes, parties, music, celebrities & so much more. It is held in downtown Atlanta Georgia & spans over 3 hotels (Hyatt, Marriott Marquis & the Sheraton).

I will personally be in the Dealers Room table E-13. The Dealers Room is in the Marriott Marquis hotel in the International Hall. If they provide a name/map my name will be listed as "Ambient Arts". For all other details on the show check out the website:

I will have NEW products this year as well....Limited Edition Canvas prints & large 11x14 photo prints! I will also have my standard size prints, cameo necklaces, earrings, jewelry boxes, magnets, keychains, buttons & more.

This year I am also honored to have 2 panels in the Art Show! I will not personally be there, but you can bid on my some of my original artwork & Limited Edition Canvas prints. I will also have 150 prints in the Art show print shop. The Art Show is located in the Hyatt Regency Hotel in the GRAND HALL WEST. This is location is different from previous years so please make a note of the change.

Dragon Con!!
I have been preparing for Dragon Con almost every day for the past month & half. I have been making off loads of prints, Limited Edition canvas prints, cameo pendants & earrings! It seems that having my prints & artwork set up in the Art show is giving me a lot more to do than usual, but I welcome it with open arms.

For those of you unfamiliar with Dragon Con, it is Labor day weekend every year in downtown Atlanta Georgia. This year it is September 4th - 7th. Dragon Con is one of the largest Science Fiction/Fantasy conventions in the country. It hosts a variety of artists, clothing, contests, shows, celebrities, jewelry, comics & anything that fits the Sci-Fi/fantasy genre!

I will have some of my original art & Limited edition canvas prints up for auction in the Art Show. I will also have loads of prints in the print shop.
I will personally be set up in the Dealers Room table E-13.

I have been doing a lot of prepping for Dragon Con. I have been making so many prints, I think my printer sort of hates me right now, but she cooperating, so Im happy. I have printed & packaged over 100 prints so far for the Art Show Print shop. I will have a total of 150 prints there (10 copies of 15 different images), plus original paintings, original drawing & Limited Edition Canvas Prints in the Art Show.

I will have the items above at my booth in the Dealers Room, plus my cameo pendants, earrings, keychains, buttons & much more, all at Discounted prices!! My table number in the Dealers Room is E-13.

For those of you who have not heard about Dragon Con, here is the scoop....Dragon Con is one of the largest Science-Fiction/Fantasy conventions in the county. It houses 4 spectacular days of gaming, celebrity greetings, shopping, art shows, literature, costume contests, music events, parties & much more. The attendance for this show is about 80,000 - 100,000 people over 4 days....WOW!!!

I got back from the World of Faeries Festival late Monday night. The festival was absolutely magical. I love the landscape up north so much, so it was so nice to experience the outdoors. The festival was set up on a vast park that had soaring oak trees & sat along side of a river. It was beautiful.

I had such an awesome time with carritravis. It was so great to meet new people & spend time with Carri. Our tent was set up across from a retail booth called Crystal River Gifts. The owner loved our art & bought some products from both of us.
As long as Carri is up to it, I have high hopes of being there next year.

Hello Everyone

I have been meaning to open a Zazzle store for about 2 years now! LOL how sad is that! One of my friends kevinhurtack opened a store up a couple of years ago & it seemed too good to be true so I put it on the back burner because I was doing Cafepress at the time. I have been seeing so many artists have cool Zazzle products like Carrie Hawks, Jasmine Becket-Griffith & Myka Jelina, I guess I sort of couldn't resist! hehe (sorry ladies I don't mean to be copying you!)
